A LITTLE ABOUT POPLAR HILL AND DISTRICT LIONS CLUB
First sponsored by the Ilderton Lions Club (which we still have very strong links with) on March 22nd 1979, The Poplar Hill and District Lions Club came into it's own when the Charter was ratified on May 25th 1979 with Lion Wayne Greig as our first President and has served the local community for over thirty years! We meet the First and Third Tuesday of each month with the exception of July and August. We support local events, charities and sporting facilities by raising funds in the community which we give back to the community! For a club of it's size, we are one of the most active and run many very successful events throughout the year.
Did you know the Poplar Hill and District Lions have raised over $1 million since inception?
We cover many events. . . .
The Township Hall (shown below) at Coldstream is the usual meeting place for our club and the venue for many of our supported functions. The monies gratefully received from our Lion's events is donated to many of the local organizations and causes.
